Warm and comforting, this dessert can be put together in a dash, and made with your little one’s unique tastes in mind.
Combine rice and milk in a large pot. Over medium heat, bring to a boil, then quickly lower to a gentle simmer.
Add maple syrup or honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir well.
Simmer until liquid is almost completely absorbed, about 30 minutes, stirring frequently to avoid sticking or burning.
Stir in raisins, if desired. Serve warm or chilled.
2 cups cooked (leftover perhaps) long-grain white or basmati rice)
2 cups Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms DairyPure Whole Milk
Splash of vanilla
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
Cinnamon to taste
Nutmeg to taste (if your child likes it)
Raisins (if you have them on hand, fine without)
